An HSS column passes through a reinforced concrete slab band sized per plan, anchored by a 200x200x19 plate welded with four 12-millimeter bolts or anchor bolts and stiffener plates. The slab band is reinforced with fourteen 20-millimeter longitudinal bars, 10-millimeter stirrups, and 15-millimeter to 20-millimeter transverse reinforcing. Additional framing embeds include 10x480 flat bars at 300 millimeters on center and 75 millimeters on center, plus groups of five 10x580 flat bars at 50 millimeters on center centered on the column. Eight 15-millimeter longitudinal reinforcing bars run horizontally with a 300-millimeter embedment depth.
