Cold-formed steel jamb studs attach to a concrete foundation wall with bottom track and angle clips. An L5x3x54 mil angle secures the jamb with four number 8 screws to the jamb and two powder-actuated fasteners embedded one and one-half inches minimum into the concrete. Alternate connections utilize an L3x angle on each side of the jamb stud anchored with a five-eighths-inch diameter adhesive anchor embedded seven inches. Load-bearing shims or grout fill gaps greater than one-quarter inch beneath the bottom track.
