A bridge slide bearing connection incorporates steel beams and bridge girders sized per plan beneath a concrete slab on metal deck. The assembly features a Con-Serv side bearing (model 09CSA 13CS 50L, 13" x 13") resting on a 1" plate with 1/2" stiffener plates on near side and far side. Additional connection sections detail a 1" x 14" plate, 3/8" plate, seven-eighths inch diameter bolts, and complete-joint-penetration welds as specified. A moment joint creates a gap between adjacent slab sections with 1/2" stiffener plates welded to the framing members.
