Steel beams frame into hollow structural section columns and steel columns utilizing complete joint penetration welds at the column connection. Grade 50 stiffener plates and full-depth stiffeners are provided on each side of the steel column at both strong-axis and weak-axis configurations. Perpendicular beam connections are detailed per plan with bolted shear tabs and weld details.
