This assembly utilizes one and one-half inch by fifty-four mil cold-rolled channels as lateral bridging, spaced according to structural notes and passing through stud punch-outs. Each stud receives a two-inch by two-inch by fifty-four mil clip angle, sized one-quarter inch less than the stud width, attached with four number eight screws. Where bridging terminates at a built-up jamb or post, the channel extends into the punch-out and is secured with a two-inch by two-inch by fifty-four mil clip angle, also attached with four number eight screws.
