This structural detail shows the concrete slab edge reinforcement where the slab extends less than two inches beyond the face of the steel column. Hooked edge bars are placed on each side of the column centerline with a number four reinforcing bar running typically. A two-inch clear cover is maintained at the perimeter edge. The composite steel deck continues to the slab edge in accordance with typical specifications.
