Cold-formed steel joist bridging features a minimum 18-gauge track blocking matching the wall stud gauge. The track flanges are cut and a portion of the web is bent to fit against the metal stud joist web. Fastening is executed with two number 10 sheet metal screws typically connecting the bent web portion to the joist.
