A collector beam and a braced frame beam frame into a W14x column with moment connections and bolted framing tabs. Complete joint penetration welds are specified typically at the beam-to-column flanged moment connections. A collector connection plate is bolted to the beam web with six bolts on one side and three bolts on the opposite side. Centerlines for the column and beams establish the structural grid alignment.
