A vertical structural post connects to a 1/2-inch by 8-inch by 0'-10" steel embed plate welded with a 1/4-inch fillet weld. The embed plate is anchored into a thickened concrete slab on grade using four 3/4-inch diameter by 6-inch headed studs. The thickened slab on grade features an 8-inch minimum depth and connects to the main slab reinforcement per plan.
