A steel beam and metal deck floor slab connect adjacent to a solid wall with a drift track assembly. A gravity connection ties the slab edge to the wall structure with a one-inch plus-minus gap. A drift track designed by the supplier accommodates vertical and lateral deflections noted in the general structural notes. Full depth stiffeners are provided opposite the beam connection where required, and studs may be connected together above the joint at the contractor's or supplier's option. Finishes and slab edge information are coordinated per architectural drawings, including a joint in finishes to allow interstory drifts.
