A structural steel beam connects to a column flange or web utilizing top and bottom plates and a gusset plate assembly. The connection features slip-critical bolts fastening the connection plate with a vertical spacing of three inches on center, and two inches minimum edge distance. Complete joint penetration welds and fillet welds secure the plates with specified edge clearances. Plates are sized per typical braced frame column flange or web conditions.
