An angle brace connects a steel beam to an existing concrete slab using 7/8-inch diameter slip-critical bolts and 5/8-inch diameter drilled-in expansion anchors. The connection utilizes L4x4x1/4 and L3x3x1/4 structural angles spaced at a maximum of 5'-0" on center or as shown on plan. A 3/8-inch plate is used typically, with welded connections provided at the contractor's option.
