A glass and steel guardrail system anchored to a structural steel floor framing assembly. The vertical post consists of a 1/2 inch by 2 inch bar stock spaced at a maximum of 48 inches on center. The post connects to a 1 inch by 10 inch plate secured with 3/16 inch top and bottom welds, finished with ground-smooth welds. The assembly maintains a maximum guardrail height of 3 feet 6 inches above the finish floor with a minimum 4 inch clearance.
