This assembly features a one-quarter inch bent plate connection attached to a cold-formed steel stud wall, which is provided by others. The connection is designed to accommodate one inch of vertical movement. The metal deck is secured to the supporting steel beam with one-half inch diameter puddle welds spaced at twelve inches on center. The bent plate is welded to the top flange of the steel beam with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds, applied in two-inch segments at twelve-inch intervals on both sides.
