A structural brace frame column connects to a two-and-a-half-inch thick 50 KSI base plate using complete joint penetration welds at the flanges and five-sixteenth inch fillet welds at the web. Eight two-inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 105 anchor bolts secure the base plate through three-inch diameter holes with eight one-and-a-half-inch by five-inch square plate washers. A matching three-quarter-inch embed plate features two-and-one-eighth inch diameter holes to match the anchor bolts.
