The cold-formed metal stud wall connects to the supporting concrete slab or steel beam using a continuous one-quarter-inch bent plate attached to the supporting structure. At each stud, a TSN StiffClip LB600 or approved equal fastens with four number twelve self-tapping screws into the stud and three three-sixteenths-inch diameter powder-actuated fasteners into the plate. Alternatively, a TSN StiffClip 'LS' fastens with two powder-actuated fasteners at the steel beam and two number twelve self-tapping screws into the stud. Clips with a length greater than twenty inches require a return lip per TSN requirements. Concrete floor conditions maintain a five-inch minimum depth or follow project details.
