An HSS steel column connects to orthogonal steel beams and girders with bolted connections at each face. Four diagonal L3x3x1/4 angles act as braces and deck bearing angles, featuring a 2'-6" maximum diagonal length and attached with typical 3/16 fillet welds. Clearances for pipes and conduits are coordinated next to the column per plumbing and mechanical drawings, with metal deck omitted for clarity.
