This assembly details a concrete housekeeping pad cast over an existing slab-on-grade. The pad is reinforced with number five bars spaced at eighteen inches on center each way, maintained with two inches of concrete cover. Perimeter connection is achieved using number five dowels epoxied into the existing slab at eighteen inches on center around the pad perimeter. A three-inch typical edge clearance is maintained from the pad edge to the dowel location.
