Cold-formed metal framing details showing light gauge metal stud walls intersecting with ceiling joists and continuous tracks. Metal studs of 33 mils minimum thickness connect to a continuous top track using two number 8 screws at each stud. Ceiling joists attach with number 8 screws spaced at 8 inches on center, supplemented by 362T125-43 ceiling ties secured with a minimum of two number 8 screws at each joist where applicable. Intermittent blocking fastens with two number 8 screws at each block.
