A hollow structural section beam connects to a supporting member at the wall face using a three-quarter-inch plate welded with quarter-inch fillet welds top and bottom. The connection is secured with two three-quarter-inch diameter ASTM A325 bolts. A one-half-inch cap plate is welded to the beam end with quarter-inch welds. Additional plates and beams are sized per plan.
