A hollow structural section column per elevations receives a three-quarter-inch thick steel plate measuring ten inches by one foot zero inches. The plate is secured with four one-inch diameter A490-PT-STD bolts spaced on a nine-inch by five-inch grid pattern with two-and-a-half-inch edge distances on the sides and one-and-a-half-inch edge distances top and bottom. A beam per plan connects to the assembly with a three-sixteenth-inch weld.
