A structural steel column base plate and gusset plate connection anchored with eight one-and-one-quarter-inch-diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 55 anchor bolts. The base plate is one-and-three-quarter inches thick with a yield strength of fifty kilopounds per square inch and measures two feet ten inches by one foot eight inches. Fillet welds connect the structural steel column and gusset plate to the base plate.
