A secondary structural member connects to a primary wide-flange girder using a face plate, connector plate, and screws referenced in another detail. The primary girder is routed to receive the connection hardware and includes a face plate welded to the web. Stiffener plates are welded to each end of the face plate between the girder flanges with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds. A hanger connects to the assembly with three-sixteenths inch welds, leaving the top of the hanger unwelded per manufacturer requirements.
