A stair stringer bears onto a concrete slab, anchored by an L 4 x 4 x 1/4 by zero-foot-eight-inch angle secured with two three-quarter-inch-diameter anchor bolts or expansion bolts spaced at five inches on center. A three-eighths-inch closure plate caps the end of the stringer. A three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld joins the stringer to the connection assembly.
