An HU1.81/5 hanger secures the framing using twelve 10d nails to the supporting member and four 10d by one and one-half inch nails to the supported member at each end. A ledger measuring one and three-quarters inches by seven and one-quarter inches connects to the rim board using one-quarter inch by five-inch self-drilling screws spaced at eight inches on center longitudinally with a four-inch vertical stagger.
