A rooftop unit curb bears on a tapered block and steel channel located within the deck flutes of a metal deck supported by an open-web roof joist. The steel channel is secured through the deck. A field weld connects the assembly through the deck as indicated by the weld symbol. The actual configuration of the frame to support the mechanical unit is to be supplied by the mechanical engineer.
