Two HSS 4x4x1/2 hollow structural sections are placed one on each side of the steel beam web to frame an opening, sized per plan. A filler beam and a carrying beam connect in the assembly, with sizes determined per plan. Five-sixteenths inch typical fillet welds secure the structural steel components with a four-twelve spacing.
