A 5/8-inch by 6-inch by 12-inch long plate with two 2-inch slotted holes perpendicular to the girder for two 3/4-inch A307 bolts connects to a supporting 5/8-inch gusset and a 1/2-inch by 10-1/2-inch by 12-inch long vertical plate. The assembly is welded with 5/16-inch fillet welds to an embed plate cast into a concrete wall. A note specifies that the joist girder manufacturer shall design the joist girder seat to transfer an unfactored lateral force of 20 kips from the wall to the joist girder.
