An HSS6x4x1/2 outrigger frames into a steel beam per plan, utilizing a three-quarter-inch thick by five-inch wide connection end plate welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld. Three-quarter-inch cap plates are located above and below at the connection, tied back to a steel column per plan with erection bolts. A half-inch end plate and half-inch typical stiffener plates reinforce the steel beam assembly. An additional HSS member per plan runs over the glazing, connected to the outrigger with a quarter-inch fillet weld. Note that metal framing is omitted for clarity.
