A steel column is anchored to a concrete pile cap with a base plate, surrounded by a minimum of three inches of controlled low-strength material or concrete cover. A concrete tie beam measuring one foot six inches deep frames into the pile cap with continuous reinforcing steel. The pile cap is supported by a pile sized per plan and schedule. All structural steel column, pile cap, and pile sizes are determined per plan and schedule.
