A buckling-restrained brace connects to a frame wide-flange beam through a gusset plate welded to the underside of the beam web and flanges. Web stiffener plates are installed as required by the brace manufacturer specifications and approved shop drawings. A perpendicular beam frames into the connection with its size and connection detailed per separate drawings. Concrete fill over metal deck bears at the top flange where it occurs.
