An incoming hollow structural section brace connects to a matching hollow structural section stub aligned with the work point intersection of the beam and column centerlines. A gusset plate ties the incoming brace and stub assembly to the structural steel framing per plan. Centerlines establish the geometric alignment for the working point at the intersection of the structural members.
