A steel beam connects to the flange of a structural steel column using a bolted shear tab. A diagonal steel brace is welded to the column on the near side and far side with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld. Concrete over metal floor deck bears adjacent to the column and is adjusted six inches as needed for architectural clearance. Dimensions indicate a range of twelve inches to twenty-eight inches for the framing configuration.
