An HSS beam connects to an HSS column using L4x4x1/4 structural angles placed at the top and bottom of the beam, sized to the beam width. Three-quarter-inch diameter A307 through-bolts centered on the angle leg secure the assembly through the HSS column. A maximum one-half-inch clearance is maintained at the column centerline, with the vertical angle leg offset one and one-quarter inches from the centerline. The column and beam sizes are specified per plan.
