A hollow structural section column connects to a steel base plate measuring 1 inch by 10 inches by 6 and 1/2 inches, secured with four anchor bolts. A five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld joins the hollow structural section column to the plate. Dimensions establish exact bolt spacing and plate edge clearances.
