A steel beam connects across a panel joint using a half-inch thick plate measuring one foot eight inches by the beam depth plus four inches. The connection incorporates nine three-quarter-inch diameter welded stud anchors at a seven-inch gauge on each side of the panel. Five three-quarter-inch diameter threaded studs are placed in slotted holes with standard nuts. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size are applied to three sides typically and specified for one side only at designated locations.
