A new concrete grade beam ties into an existing concrete foundation using epoxy-anchored reinforcing dowels. The assembly is reinforced with two continuous number four bars at the top and bottom, complemented by number four stirrups spaced at twelve inches on center. Dowels consist of number four bars drilled and epoxied with a twelve-inch embedment into the existing concrete. The distance from the grid line varies from a minimum of twelve inches up to a maximum of one foot seven and one-quarter inches, with a four-inch minimum clearance dimension.
