A heavy structural steel column splice connects a 350WC230 or 350WC258 upper column to a 400WC303 lower column using 16mm end plates prepared for full contact. The joint is secured by four M36 bolts with 10mm flat washers at the column connection and sixteen M36 bolts fastening a 32mm steel cover plate. Steel packers with 12mm flat washers are included to suit dimensional tolerances at the column.
