Four-inch thick treated Hem-Fir timber lagging of No. 2 or better spans between vertical soldier piles with a maximum ten-foot spacing. Shafts are backfilled with lean concrete around the soldier pile assembly. An anti-twist strap is located opposite of the pile web from the corresponding tieback per detail 5/SH5.0, aligned with the center line of tiebacks.
