A structural steel beam connects to a supporting member via a 3/8-inch thick Grade 50 steel plate. Four 3/4-inch diameter A325X bolts secure the web of the beam, sized per plan. The connection utilizes 1/4-inch fillet welds on the plate. Vertical bolt spacing is set at 3 inches with 1 1/2-inch edge distances, and the horizontal spacing includes a 2 1/2-inch dimension.
