A cable tray assembly mounts to a full-height cold-formed steel stud connected overhead to existing roof framing. The top track connects to the existing roof sheathing and framing using a Simpson SCW3.25 clip fastened with two number twelve wood screws with a two-inch embedment, supplemented by a quarter-inch self-drilling screw at the opposite side of the column with a three-inch minimum embedment. The cable tray utilizes a Unistrut P2544 support spaced at eight feet on center, secured with two half-inch diameter bolts complete with washers and nuts.
