A reinforced concrete deck edge integrates with a structural steel beam or truss chord to support a brace or truss diagonal. A Grade 60 A706 dowel bar, minimum number four at twelve inches spacing, is placed longitudinally with hooks at the slab edge per typical deck edge condition details. The assembly anchors the brace or truss diagonal directly into the structural framing.
