A one-half-inch thick steel haunch plate connects a hollow structural section beam to a hollow structural section post, sized per plan. The haunch plate extends two inches past the face of the post and is six inches deep. One-quarter-inch fillet welds secure the plates and members together with typical placement indicated. The top of steel and center line of the hollow structural section are referenced to the structural grid.
