A core brace buckling-restrained brace with a 10-inch pipe casing connects to a 10XS pipe column via a three-quarter-inch Grade 50 kerf plate welded with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds of ten-inch length. An angled pipe brace sized per plan intersects the column through another three-quarter-inch Grade 50 kerf plate welded with one-quarter-inch fillet welds of twenty-inch length. A defined work point establishes the intersection geometry for the bracing members.
