Wide-flange beams frame into the web of a wide-flange column using connection plates sized per schedule with three-quarter-inch fillet welds top and bottom. A three-quarter-inch plate lines up with the edge of the beam flange and clears the column 'k' distance typically. Five-eighths-inch web plates are welded opposite the connection plate with half-inch and three-quarter-inch fillet welds as indicated. Bolt patterns are spaced at three inches typical with one-and-a-half-inch edge distances.
