A concrete slab edge and exterior wall panel are supported by a concrete masonry unit wall. An eighteen-gauge minimum pour stop retains the concrete slab adjacent to the wall panel, which is located per architectural drawings. A structural steel girt is positioned at the exterior face above the wall. The concrete masonry unit wall incorporates a typical bond beam with vertical reinforcing bars spaced at sixteen inches on center, where field bends are permitted. Two additional number five reinforcing bars are placed within the concrete slab connection.
