A standard concrete slab on grade assembly is supported by non-expansive subgrade soil. A moisture break aggregate layer rests directly on the compacted soil, placed below a vapor retarder membrane. The concrete slab sits above the vapor retarder with slab thickness and reinforcing steel sized per plan and centered within the slab. Non-expansive soil placement is coordinated with project soils reports and structural plans.
