A structural steel framing connection occurs at a steel column supporting a steel joist and steel beam. A tie plate measuring 3/8" x 4" x 2'-0" slots through the steel column, with 3/16" welds securing the plate to the joist and beam. The 7-1/2" deep girder bearing end connects to the column using two 3/4" diameter A325 erection bolts. The 5" deep joist bearing end similarly utilizes two 3/4" diameter A325 erection bolts and features an L5x5x3/8 angle spanning the column width with a 3/8" stiffener plate. Stabilizer plates are provided at girders and joists, including a 3/4" x 6" x 0'-6" plate at girders and a 3/8" x 6" x 0'-6" plate with a 13/16" diameter hole at joists. Bottom chords are left un-welded to the stabilizer plate unless noted otherwise.
