A wide-flange beam connects to a steel column using a welded shear plate for web attachment and top and bottom plates for moment transfer. Stiffener plates align with the beam flanges inside the column web to transfer high axial and moment loads. A braced frame beam frames into the opposite side of the column web. Connection details and plate sizing are referenced to another drawing sheet.
