Cold-formed steel framing interfaces with a structural steel beam using non-bearing slip tracks and deflection tracks. The perpendicular condition uses a slip track beneath the beam centerline with stud blocking spaced across two bays on each side of the beam. The parallel condition fastens a 150U50-54 stud spaced at four feet on center with a deflection track, secured using two number ten self-tapping metal screws at each channel.
